Dr. Emmanuel K. Ireland is an experienced, respected, and versatile Ghanaian pharmacist with over twenty years of active practice in the pharma industry. Dr. Ireland has always been passionate about developing healthy communities and nations. His passion led him to start working as a dispensing technician, working his way up to the renowned Doctor of Pharmacy he now is. He has worked in Community Pharmacy, Hospital Pharmacy, Industry and Academia.
Dr. Ireland has personally championed several public health campaigns in several communities in Ghana. He has developed and led community-based health and sanitation outreaches, health education programs, and other activities to promote social and community health. As a member and current Vice Chairman of the Community Practice Pharmacists Association of Ghana, he has contributed immensely to research and professional development.
Mobilising people and healthcare practitioners to work together for the general good is one of the many passions he is committed to, and continuously works towards.
As a Pharmacist, Dr. Ireland makes successful care delivery to his clients – be they individuals, institutions, or healthcare facilities – a priority.
Among other things, Dr. Emmanuel K. Ireland is also passionate about business development, people and organisational development, and leadership. He is an entrepreneur with strong transformational leadership qualities.
Dr. Ireland is a member of the Pharmaceutical Society of Ghana, a National Executive Council Member of the Ghana National Chamber of Pharmacy, a lecturer, a mentor, coach, motivational and conference speaker.
